Dubai’s property market is entering a new phase. More projects are moving from construction to completion. Thrive gives buyers more ready properties to compare.
Dubai completed 104 real estate projects in H1 2026, compared with 75 in H1 2025. Their combined value exceeded AED 111 billion, up from AED 37 billion a year earlier. The number of completed units also increased. 24, 537 units were completed in H1 2026, compared with 18,043 during the same period in 2025.
These figures point to a growing amount of completed property entering Dubai’s market.
How Does This Affect Buyers?
More completed homes present more options for the buyers. A buyer looking at ready property in Dubai can see the actual building, unit, facilities and surrounding area. This is different from buying off-plan, where the decision is based partly on the planned development and delivery timeline.
Off-plan property can still suit buyers who prefer payment plans or are comfortable waiting for completion. However, the developer, construction progress, payment plan and handover date should all be assessed.
Volume Doesn’t Equalise Property
A growing supply of properties does not automatically make every project a good investment. Buyers should look at the location, price, property type, service charges, rental demand and nearby competition.
DLD recorded AED 252 billion in real estate transactions in Q1 2026, across 60,303 transactions. The number of investors reached 48,448 during the quarter. This shows that Dubai real estate remains highly active. But city-wide numbers should not replace research into the specific property.
What Should Investors Be Aware Of?
Before buying property in Dubai, ask:
Is the property priced fairly in the market?
Who is the Developer?
What is the construction status?
When is the handover expected?
What properties compete nearby?
Is the rental demand?
What are the possible exit options?
For anyone considering Dubai property investments, more supply means more choice, It also means buyers need to compare properties carefully. The right property, right price and right location is all you need to grab a hold of a favorable real estate deal in Dubai.
